Farm Trails member Mindy Wright of the Goat Farm will be teaching a class on natural lotion making at Santa Rosa Junior College. Have you ever stood in a cosmetic shop, overwhelmed at the variety–and prices–of skin moisturizers? In this part demo/part hands on class you’ll learn the different properties of oils and butters (and which to use to address specific skin concerns, adding antioxidants and preservatives, and all the ingredients and supplies needed for lotion making. Join this goauche techniques workshop at the Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation The subject of fairy tales and scientific studies alike, the forest floor beckons with the juxtaposition of growth and decay, light and dark, the unknown and the familiar.
