Enjoy the phenomenon of goat yoga with the rescued animal residents of Charlie’s Acres Farm Animal Sanctuary. Our yoga instructors will instruct you on poses and posture with the occasional goat distraction. This yoga class is intended to be fun and for all skill levels so no need to take it too seriously. Every class will be different and dependent on how our friendly goats (or sheep) decide to participate.
We’ll provide yoga mats and will position all participants 6+ feet apart. Please bring comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Ages 14+.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check-in, set up, and get acquainted with our rescued animal residents. The yoga class will be 1 hour but plan to stick around about 30 min after class for a meet and greet with more rescued animal residents.
Goat yoga is exclusively an outdoor activity. In the event of inclement weather, Goat Yoga will be rescheduled.
What should I wear?
Please wear clothes you are comfortable doing yoga in. Shoes/socks are optional.
What should I expect?
We’ll be practicing yoga outside so be prepared to potentially get dirty, and be exposed to the natural weather elements (rain, heat, wind). Also expect to meet some amazing farm animals and hear their incredible stories. We’ll discuss safe animal handling before the class begins. All of the animals we’ll be interacting with are friendly ambassadors who are used to visitors, but it will still be important to follow rules set out by staff.
Are children welcome?
Young people 14 and up are welcome to join goat yoga with a responsible adult.
What should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle. Please do NOT bring any food or really yummy smelling items on your body or in your purse during the tour as our animals love to eat! Feel free to bring your camera and take pictures.
