The Culinary Farm at St. Francis Winery In 2001, St. Francis Winery & Vineyards opened the doors to its iconic Sonoma Valley Visitors Center. As part of the construction, two acres of the estate were dedicated to cultivating fresh, seasonal produce to support a wine-inspired culinary program. The Culinary Farm at St. Francis Winery now features distinctly tilled rows and perennial plantings, including native fruit trees, seasonal vegetables, and various herbs. The farm's "No Spray" policy ensures the healthiest and best-tasting produce possible. James (Jimmy) Hill, the estate's talented farmer, collaborates with Chef Peter Janiak, regularly planting ahead of each season. Jimmy's expertise in protecting soil health and biodiversity has introduced insightful planting and water conservation techniques on the farm. St. Francis Winery & Vineyards is a pioneer in sustainable and innovative cuisine that complements its variety of wines and creates a memorable experience for its guests. The success of the Culinary Farm has led the winery to expand its distribution to include other local establishments.
