Bodega Pastures

Bodega Pastures is a beautiful 1000-acre sheep ranch located in west Sonoma County just outside of Bodega, California. Bodega Pastures Sheep are managed in an organic and humane way. We research and utilize grazing and management methods that protect both sheep and the native coastal prairie ecosystem. We rotate our flock to avoid damage to land, maintain healthy pastures, and avoid predators.
Breeds include Corriedale, Romney, Suffolk and Navajo, with a little Border Leicester and Wensleydale from rams we have had. Our grass-fed lamb is tender and delicious; email bodegapastures@gmail.com for details and how to order.
Our wool is prized by hand spinners, knitters, weavers and felters. We sell colored and white fleeces, roving, batting, and yarn of different weights and colors. Some yarn is dyed here with plants and mushrooms. We also sell our sheepskins, organically tanned by Traditional Tanners. and some by residents. Our products are available at farmers markets in Sebastopol, Occidental and Bodega Bay as well as at the ranch by appointment.
We offer occasional workshops in these crafts and we host school field trips. Please call us about workshops and field trips.
