Animals
We will be offering guided walking tours of our goat farm, wildlife trail, avian sanctuary, emu field, and our poultry and gamebird habitats. Three tractor rides are scheduled daily. At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday there will be an old time tractor exhibit and presentation in the barn, and at 10:30 a.m. there will be a canine presentation on Saturday. Petting zoo. Several exotic bird experts on site to answer any questions you have about pet birds. Also, daily hatching of baby chicks.
Tours: Tractor rides around the ranch along with guided tours of the avian sanctuary and goat pens at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (20 person maximum) Walking tours on-going through-out the day. Farm photo packages of your visit available.
We will be selling Misty Eve soaps, farm produce, and crafts. On going raffle that you do not have to be present to win.
Cost: No fee, but any donations that are made will be put towards our feral farm cat spay and neuter project and our red-ear turtle pond projects.
Special Instructions: Please follow the parking signs. Drive slowly into the ranch. No personal pets please. No self-guided tours. Dogs and all other companion and livestock animals cannot be left in vehicles or brought onto the property while their owners tour the BarLew Ranch.

The Crane Melon is a Sonoma County tradition. Available only during September and October, the Crane melon was developed to be grown in a particular soil type and grown in an area with a certain climate. The property where the melon was developed is still owned and farmed by the Crane family. It is because of this soil, climate an farming style that the original crane melon can only be purchased directly form the Crane Family at the Crane Melon Barn. The Barn will be open from 10-6 selling Crane melons during the weekend event. There will be melon samples available. Also in attendance will be the famous Barn dogs Zoë and Peanut. The Crane Melon Barn is a Sonoma County Historic landmark. It was built in 1868 entirely out of redwood and has been completely restores by Richard Crane.

Grape Vines
Visit an urban oasis in the city of Sebastopol. Come behind our garden gate and wind along our shady brick paths to se our acre of ornamental garden and specimen trees. Tour our small potted olive and grapevine nursery. Learn to create your own “vineyard in a pot”. On sale will be our olive trees, grapevines, succulents, Japanese maples and more all at end of season prices.
Tours: Guided garden tour by owners all day
End of season sale prices on all plants.
